My Mission Trip to Cambodia!

For those of you who didn’t know, I had the pleasure of doing some missionary work in Cambodia in November.

What a gratifying experience that was! To highlight the various parts of my stay, I am going to feature the next few blogs with details and pictures, so let’s get started!

Day 1 – Recap

I arrived in Cambodia after a long 20.5 hours on an airplane. Needless to say I was tired and cramped!

The flight from Atlanta to Seoul was on one of the new Airbus airplanes. It has two stories and was huge – how in the world it can fly with all the weight of the passengers, plus luggage in addition to fuel and be able to fly for 15 hours is seriously amazing!

It is now midnight and I have just gotten to my room. We begin the day early tomorrow morning with a trip to see the school where we will be working and a tour of a few other places!  More later after I’ve gotten some much needed sleep!

Day 2 – Bright Eyed & Bushy Tailed!

With the 12-hour time difference, my internal clock is a bit haywire so it was up and at ‘em early this morning! Looking out my window I could see all the beauty of the place I was staying at. It was literally breath-taking.

My previous mission trips have not offered the gracious accommodations I have been enjoying so far! I was completely looking forward to enjoying the duration of my trip!

Here are some great pictures I had the chance to snap!

PDAS Spirit House

This was what the local’s call a “spirit house”

PDAS Lunch at the Spirit House

We enjoyed our lunch at the “spirit house”

PDAS Lunch

PDAS Walter Filtration System

This was a water filtration area where the locals could go and purify their water each day.

PDAS Community Tooth Brush area

Nothing like a community  “toothbrushing” area!

More to Come!

Stay tuned for the days to follow! There’s sure to be great adventure and captivating pictures!
